Repair Estimates

We will provide you with a written estimate that will identify the condition to be repaired, the parts needed, and the anticipated labour charge. We will always contact you for approval before we do any work.

Parts are classified as:

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Genuine Certified Parts

These are parts made by or for the manufacturer of your vehicle, with equivalent fit, finish, structural integrity, corrosion protection and dent resistance the basic quality requirements as well as unsurpassed warranty coverage.

New Aftermarket Parts

These are third party manufactured copies of certified genuine parts. While generally cheaper, ask us questions about the quality of aftermarket parts. There also is evidence that use of new a aftermarket part may reduce the re-sale value of your vehicle, and that a vehicle’s warranty may also be affected.

Rebuilt or Salvaged Parts

Rebuilt or reconditioned parts that have been restored to a sound working condition. Salvaged parts have been taken from another vehicle without alteration and are generally the most inexpensive. Since the salvaged parts origin is unknown quality and longevity concerns may exist. Salvage parts may be the only source for certain items, though their reliability is seldom guaranteed.

Important

Opertune Auto Clinic will clearly list all the required parts to be used to repair your vehicle on your estimate. If you prefer that certain a type of replacement parts listed above be used please notify us before we complete the estimate.

Preventive Maintenance

Follow the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule in your owner’s manual for your type of driving. Many parts on your vehicle are interrelated. Ignoring maintenance can lead to trouble: specific parts or an entire system can fail. Neglecting even simple routine maintenance, such as changing the oil or checking the coolant, can lead to poor fuel economy, unreliability, or costly breakdowns. It also may invalidate your warranty.
We recommend these regular maintenance guidelines for most vehicles.
